About Us

Basketball has always been a passion of mine. However, growing up I was not able to afford playing club basketball. So when the opportunity to learn and grow in the game through coaching presented itself, it was something that I could not refuse. And one thing that I learned and is why I coach is the impact I have on the kids not only on the court but off the court as well that just continues to refuel that passion for the game of basketball.

After a few years of playing basketball post-secondary, I decided to step away from the game of basketball. It was something at the time I thought I needed. It was not till a couple of years after making that decision that I realized I was missing the game. I spent some time doing coaching from grassroots level to high school level and noticed how much I missed basketball. However, it was not until after getting my degree in Sport & Leisure Management that I wanted to be doing something in my career that involved basketball. A little over a year later of forming connections in the area, I decided to partner with a great group of people to launch Chosen Basketball Academy to provide youth with same opportunity I was given to grow in basketball as well as feed that passion for the game.
